Hidden Falls
6/15/2022: From Marg’s Notes: It was very windy & cold, but I slept really well. We got up & ready, then went to a local coffee place called The Perch for beverages, muffins and then hit the road. We headed to Jenny Lake & started hiking ~9:00. Lots of people, but we got a space in the lot. Our plan was to do a loop to Hidden Falls. There is a boat that crossed Jenny Lake but we didn’t take that! We took the Jenny Lake Loop trail. After a bit more than 1.5 miles we took the upper trail. Not too many people. Quite a few wildflowers. A bit of elevation gain. The falls were beautiful, but there were lots of people there…from the boats. After that, we continued on up to Inspiration Point. Very nice views! We went on a bit past the point, but decided to turn around & head back. We took the lower trail this time. A lot of it was along the lake. There was a bear up the hill at one point, but we didn’t see it. ~7.5 miles all together. We drove thru the park after our hike looking for a lunch spot. Drove up Signal Hill but crowded. Ended up at one of the Chapels for lunch. Had a nice view of Jackson Lake. Then back to KOA. Our neighbors were a couple of older guys on motorcycles. Kelly & Bud. Talked to them a lot about books! I had a shower & went to bed. Cold Again.
Pasta for dinner.
From our AllTrails post: It was a nice hike. I clocked 7.5 mi and I think that was a little bit short. We did the loop and took the left fork above the lake to start. Made it to the falls and then on up to inspiration point a little bit further. There are tons of people on this hike. We went early and it was pretty nice but on the way back along the lake it was wall to wall people. go early and hike often :-)
